Compressing the html pages is a process to reduce size of pages by changes (compress) plain text (html) to binary presentation (compressed code). The main benefit of compressed html is encode open text to unreadable form. But I have to note that this encoding is not strong encryption and may decodeded by some actions but it is not easy for 99% computer users in the world :)
